The highlight of last year’s #73MM had to be the Derek Bell Cup, where after 14 nail biting laps we saw the closest finish in Goodwood history. Armer and King raced toward the finish line side by side and the winner (we won’t spoil the surprise by saying who) was crowned with just a 0.018 second lead.

As the F3 Screamers provided such spectacular entertainment they are set to return this year, alongside a whole host of new initiatives. The #74MM will play host to 13 races, the most ever staged at the event. As part of this increase we will see the debut of motorcycle racing for both 250cc and 350cc, 2 stroke Grand Prix bikes from the 70’s and 80’s, a sight to behold we’re sure.

1998 and 1999 Formula 1 World Champion Mika Hakkinen will also make his debut this year in association with Swiss luxury watch maker IWC Scaffhasen, the official timing partner of the event. Mika Hakkinen will be driving alongside fellow F1 Legend Jochen Mass in a demo of the Silver Arrows Mercedes Benz W196. Another new element making the #74MM unlike any other year, is the introduction of the Mid 60’s Saloons ultimate trophy in honour of former British and European touring car champ John Whitmore.

On top of all this, Lord March has huge plans yet to be unveiled for the annual street party which normally boasts an array of street theatre, music, fireworks and a steam fair.

Amongst all of this action Dura will be showcasing our innovative designs that transform garages across the globe into beautifully organised spaces. Our display will provide visitors the opportunity to experience the quality of both our high and low level luxury storage solutions, whilst offering the chance to discuss your garage plans with our expert designers.

If you can’t make the event don’t worry, our residential showroom is open Monday to Friday and all of the action from the track is streamed live on the GRR website.
